Oxalis Garcia was born and raised in the Island of Puerto Rico. There she graduated from Law school and got her first bar license in 2006. Since her Husband was in the military, Oxalis Garcia moved around and got licensed in Maryland and Florida too. 



Since 2012 Oxalis Garcia has been residing in the Tampa Bay area and helping individuals with their legal needs. She is a litigation attorney with proven success. Just recently, in 2023, Ms. Garcia helped create case law via the case N.B. v. R.V. 353 So.3d 1269,  where the Second District Court of Appeals decided Although automatic modification of timesharing is improper when based on predetermined but contingent future events, it is not improper when it applies to the child’s best interest as determined at the time of the final hearing to an event that is reasonably and objectively certain to occur at a identifiable time in the future—Beginning kindergarten is a reasonably and objectively anticipated change in circumstances that will occur at a time certain.


Oxalis Garcia focuses her practice in Family law, contruction law, civil litigation and International family law (Hague Cases). Being an attorney and helping her clients is her passion. 


In addition to being an attorney she is also a family law mediator and a Guardian Ad Litem.

Custody Case

"Oxalis assisted me with a custody case. She was great! She put pressure on them when it was needed, she was open and honest with me. Saving Grace

"I had a pending child support case from 2008 that was started with the department of revenue. I couldn't afford an attorney at the time. I consulted with Ms. Garcia who was very honest and helpful as to our approach to resolve the case. Unfortunatly Ms. Garcia transferred to another firm during the middle of my case and I could not go with her. The attorney who took over my case didn't take the time to review submitted documents or listen to my concerns. As soon as I could I retained Ms. Garcia at her new firm. She picked up right where she left off. The opposing counsel was very aggressive. Ms. Garcia didn't blink an eye. She went toe for toe with him and put me totally at ease. She was my saving grace!
